Coco

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Coco, I am a 4-year-old Springer mix looking for my forever home.  I am spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and have had preventative flea, tick and worm treatments.

I love going for car rides, I am such a good little traveler.  I like to sit in the backseat and watch the world pass by outside my window.  You wouldn’t even know I was there until you go for a coffee and I nudge you so that you don’t forget my timbit.

I am such a good girl, everyone who meets me falls in love, including the vet and the clinic staff.  And I love everyone I meet – every dog, cat and human.  At my foster home, I share space with 4 dogs and 1 cat, they’re my buddies.

I am comfortable resting in my crate and my foster mom has taught me to sit and wait politely before I exit my crate and for my food bowl.  I lived with kids in my previous life and was good with them but my foster mom doesn’t have little ones so she cannot attest to this.

I tend to pull on leash, my foster mom walks me on a Gentle Leader, so I will be required to do obedience classes.

As you can see, I am a pretty well-rounded, easy-going chickie who just wants a forever family to love me and teach me to be a good canine companion.  If you feel you can give me what I need, I’ll be waiting!

Obedience training is mandatory.

Please fill out the adoption application found at www.animalrescuecoalitions.com and email it back to ARC. Your application will be processed in a timely manner. Please contact your vet clinic and give them permission to speak with us about your past and present pets. We will be checking that your pets have been spayed /neutered and kept up to date with vaccinations and yearly check ups.

Only approved applications are eligible to meet any of our dogs for adoption. We do not operate out of a kennel so all of our dogs are placed in foster homes. Without the generosity and kind hearts of our foster families many of these dogs would not be able to have a second chance at a wonderful life. This means that our Foster Parent’s time is very important to us and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Sarge

JOB_2260

My name is Sarge, I am a young 9 years old, weigh in at 97 lbs and am looking for a home to hang my leash.

I am used to roaming and doing as I please.  Oh, how things have changed!  I am walking on a leash now and no longer tied outside and trying to find a way to take myself for a walk.  I love to travel on 4 wheels too, so let’s go driving!  It saves my paws.

I LOVE the great outdoors but I want to enjoy it with you.  If you have a fenced yard, I would love to lie in the sun while you do yardwork or better yet, chillax around the barbeque.

I had never been to a vet before so was not very pleased to meet her.  I was a very brave boy, and had my bloodwork, vaccinations, neuter, microchip and even had my hips x-rayed – and man, are they ever raving about what awesome condition I’m in.

I enjoy my food – a lot! – but I’m not possessive around my dish.

I’ll enjoy hanging out and snuggling with you, but you can have the blanket, I don’t like being under cover.  My luxurious coat is all I need.

The girls say more information will be added as they learn more of what I require.  But don’t wait and miss out on my amazing personality and loving conversations.

Sally

Hey, hey, hey, this is your lucky day!  It’s not often that you’ll find a girl like me.

My name is Sally, I’m about 1 year old and I weigh in at a lovely 65 lbs.  I’m spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on my vaccinations and on preventative flea, tick & worm treatments.

I like to travel and enjoy nothing better than napping on your backseat.

I walk well on a Gentle Leader and I love my walks.

I met a cat named Dex at my vet clinic and we played well together.  So a dog-savvy cat would be fine.

There hasn’t been a foster home available for me, so I’ve been living at a kennel with an annoying barking dog.  So I’m unsure if I like other dogs at this point.

I love love love people.  I do get excited and I will jump up to greet you.  We will be required to go to obedience classes so we can bond and learn together.

I think it’s best that I go to a home with children over 12 years of age as I cannot tell you if I have ever been around kids before.

I enjoy snuggling and having my ears & belly rubbed.

If you’re up for long hikes followed by sweet snuggles, you might be the one for me.

Obedience training is mandatory.

Stella

Stella here, I am a 5-year-old female German Shepherd, spayed and up-to-date with vaccinations, as well as flea, tick and worm preventative treatments.

I travel fairly well in a vehicle, I do not get car sick. I enjoy the snow very much, so we can be active together, no matter the weather.

I am a spirited girl who my trainer says is very smart. I require people who have German Shepherd experience, use only positive training methods and are committed to continuing my training.

My home is to be without cats, dogs and children – adults only.

Everyone says that I’m beautiful. Yes I am. But in life, looks are not important. We must be a match to live together. So read this write-up completely before you apply. Once you’ve applied and have been approved, you will get to meet me and my trainer, who will tell you what I will require to be the best canine citizen that I can be. I can only thrive if you put the work into our relationship.

I look forward to meeting you.

Ripples – Adoption Pending!!!

Hi there!!!

My name is Ripples; you can call me Rip for short though. That’s what my foster dad calls me and when he does I flash him this great smile to show him how much I love him. I love cuddling and especially love getting my ears and back scratched.

I’m a neutered male Bull Mastiff/Shar Pei mix, about 1 year old. I’ve been vet checked, vaccinated and have had preventative worm, flea & tick treatment.

I love to play with everyone here at my foster home, but my very best buddy in the whole world is Captain. You see, Captain and I were both picked up by Animal Control and stayed at the county kennel so we’ve gotten to know each other really well. I love playing chase and wrestling with all of my buddies so I would fit in well with another good-natured dog in the household. I’m very gentle with all of the small dogs here at my foster home. I met the clinic cat at my veterinarian’s and I had no issues – he’s one feisty kitty!

I’m a really good boy who listens well. I look forward to doing the obedience training that will be required to help us to get to know each other and bond. I’m also very food-motivated. I like to eat, no I LOVE to eat!!! Because I tend to gulp my food, I use a special bowl to help me slow down when I’m eating. In my young life, I have been food-deprived so I will also require some work with the trainer in allowing other animals around me at mealtime.

I’m a happy, well-rounded fellow looking for humans that will take me for long walks, hikes and if you have a fenced backyard – bonus!!

Cuddles,

Ripples

You will be required to find a trainer and do obedience with me as it will make me a good canine citizen. If you think you can give me everything I need and in return I can give you my unconditional love please fill out at application.

Cookie and Boomer

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi, it’s me Cookie! I know I am little girl but I can be easily spotted because my younger (but larger) brother is always by my side. Some might say a Jack Russell and a Border Collie are a strange combination, but we have been together for a long time! I am 9 yrs old  and my brother Boomer is 7 yrs old.  We absolutely love to run and play together, I have been told we are quite entertaining to watch…not sure exactly what that was supposed to mean! Sometimes I get running so fast I make a squeaking noise, but don’t worry, Boomer is not hurting me, I just get very excited to play with him. That is outside, inside you hardly know we are there…other than required cuddles of course. Oh so happy to curl up beside you on the sofa.

Through no fault of our own we have found ourselves in search of a new forever loving home! Our foster mom is amazed at how easy we are to have around, she was actually a little nervous taking 2 dogs at once, but we are so bonded we are just double the love! She says we are both adjusting very well and are supper quick learners! Ya ya us!!!  We have a doggy foster brother (92 lb, he’s a big boy!). He doesn’t bother getting involved in our playing, but likes having us around and going for walks with us. We all get along great! We also have a kitty foster sister,  she is bit more of a snob…she did not like how inquisitive I was the first time I saw her but I am learning very quickly. Neither of us tried to hurt her…just wanted to play. My foster mom feels we would be fine to live with a kitty, would just take a few days for everyone to get used to seeing each other.

Also….if you work all day like our foster moms, that’s OK, We have each other for company and no accidents in the house!

We are waiting to hear from you.
